Matthew 16:5-12

Matthew 16:5-12

Jesus disciples warns His disciples of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

To take heed and beware

The disciples think He means He refers to the bread.

Jesus did not mean the bread and reminds them of all the bread of the miracles He just did.  He says again beware of the leaven of the Pharisees & Sadducees.

What He meant was beware of their doctrine.  It can spread quickly like leaven and become impossible to separate truth and not truth.

Application:

Dear Lord please help me be careful to bring every word and thought captive back into the light of Your truth.  To watch of for doctrine that could seem right but in truth is very wrong.
I love You Lord.
